Draft Guidelines on International Marks: This is a new part of the Office’s Guidelines concerning international trade marks. It had previously been adopted as Chapter 13 of examination guidelines but it appeared better to create a new part dedicated to International marks including examination, opposition and new issues such as replacement of a CTM by an IR, transformation of a IR designating the EC into a CTM and conversion.

Comments would be welcome no later than 12 March 2007 . These should be sent by e-mail to vincent.oreilly@oami.europa.eu. The process of formal adoption of revisions of the guidelines will be finalised in 2007.
